Meet Davis

G. Davis Varner, Jr. is an attorney and small business owner who has called Gadsden “home” for over 20 years. Holding his first job at the age of 15, and then continuing to work throughout the rest of his school years, Davis learned the value of hard work and possesses the drive to succeed. He attended Jacksonville State University on a Faculty Scholars scholarship and served in leadership positions in multiple student organizations. After earning his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Alabama, Davis returned home to open his law practice and made a personal commitment to build and improve the Gadsden community. It is this commitment, drive, and love for our community that led Davis to run for Gadsden City Council.

Davis is a conservative values candidate who believes in giving back to Gadsden and Etowah County. He serves as the Treasurer of the Etowah County Bar Association, is a member of the Leadership Etowah program through the Etowah County Chamber of Commerce, and has recently been asked to serve on the Campaign Cabinet of our local United Way. He is an active member of Gadsden First United Methodist Church and enjoys donating his time to various charitable causes and events.

Davis is a proven leader with the dedication and will to accomplish our mutual goals, and is excited about putting his knowledge and skills to use for the benefit of all those who call Gadsden “home.”
